Differentiating 'who we are' from 'what we do', we were asked to tell the class about ourselves. I chose to present using silhouettes, projecting the visuals onto the board behind me. Here are the silhouettes that I used in a poster format.

What makes you... you?

Joanna Morgan

For those of you who like a soft and friendly topping with a serious base: complements many other flavours or works well alone.

Preparation

  1. Pre-heat the oven at a medium heat.
  2. Put sketch work, a desire to learn and a working knowledge of the adobe suite into a bowl.
  3. Add plenty of organisational skills to bring it together.
  4. Add a pinch of experience in a small design studio to taste and mix well.
  5. Turn out into Pendleton College and knead in some English, Maths and Psychology.  Add a dash of voluntary work building houses in South Africa, a course in sign language and pre-professional teaching.
  6. Bake in Northumbria School of Design at high heat for 4 years for a smooth consistency of sketch work, model making, presentation and computer skills. Keep checking it, adding lashings of seminars and briefs all of the time.
  7. Meanwhile, prepare the toppings. Make sure to include some photography know-how, graphic/web design and plenty of laughs.
  8. Bring together the topping and base, season with experience and serve fresh!

Warning: May contain cookie crumbs!
